2. General Information
The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you about which personal data we collect, for what purpose we process it and to whom we pass it on.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By 'personal data' we mean all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.
3. Collection and Processing of Personal Data
3.1 Visiting our Website
Each time you access our website, technical access data (so-called server log files) is automatically recorded. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the retrieved file
- Website from which access was made (referrer URL)
- Browser and operating system used
This data is evaluated to ensure trouble-free operation of the website and to improve our offering. It is not used for personal identification and is automatically deleted after 30 days.
3.2 Contacting Us
When you contact us via contact form, email or phone, we store the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message) for the purpose of processing your inquiry. This data will not be shared without your consent and will be deleted after processing is complete or after the statutory retention periods have expired. With every enquiry sent through a form, we also transmit how you reached our website: the campaign details in the link, the referring website and the first page you viewed. Your browser keeps this information for up to 30 days. If you have accepted all cookies, we additionally send the click ID of an advert, so that we can report to Google Ads which adverts lead to orders (see section 9.7).
3.3 Project Inquiries and Quotes
In the context of project inquiries and quotes, we collect data such as name, address, phone number, email address and project-related information. This data is used to prepare quotes, carry out construction projects and process contracts.
4. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some cookies are technically necessary (essential cookies), others are used for analyzing user behavior or for marketing purposes.
You can configure your browser to be informed about the setting of cookies and to decide individually whether to accept them or to generally exclude the acceptance of cookies. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Cookies Used
- Essential cookies: Necessary for the operation of the website
- Statistics and marketing cookies: Google Analytics and Google Ads, only with your consent (see section 9.7). You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties:
- if you have given your explicit consent
- for contract fulfillment (e.g. to subcontractors, suppliers)
- if there is a legal obligation
- to service providers who support us in data processing (processors)
Our processors are contractually obliged to process your data only on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
6. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or destruction. These include the use of SSL encryption, firewalls and access controls. Despite these measures, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. Retention Period
We store your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective processing purposes or legal retention obligations exist. Business documents are generally retained for 10 years in accordance with legal requirements.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You may request information about your personal data stored by us.

9. External Services
9.1 Google Maps
Our website uses Google Maps to display our location. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When using Google Maps, data is transmitted to Google. Further information can be found in the Google Privacy Policy.
9.2 Social Media
Our website contains links to our profiles on social networks (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook). When you click on these links, you will be redirected to the respective platform. The privacy policies of the respective provider then apply.
9.3 RF Bau Studio (AI visualisation)
In the RF Bau Studio you can upload photos of rooms or facades and have renovation visualisations created from them. For this we send the photos, your selection (style, materials, ideas) and any wish you type in to the AI service OpenAI. Each photo is first checked automatically: whether it shows a room or a facade, and which type of room. Photos showing people or unrelated to renovation are not processed further. For the 'Ideas from the pros', the created visualisation is also analysed. Your name, address and contact details are not sent to OpenAI.
The provider is OpenAI, based in the USA. According to OpenAI, data sent through its programming interface (API) is not used to train AI models and is deleted after 30 days at the latest. As data may be processed in the USA, the transfer is based on appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses.
As long as you do not send a request, we store neither your photo nor the visualisation. Only when you request an on-site consultation do we receive your details, your photo and the selected visualisation by email, and process them as described in sections 3.2 and 3.3.
Please do not upload photos showing people, ID documents or other personal documents. The visualisation shows a non-binding style direction and is not a planning basis.
9.4 AI assistant
Our digital adviser (AI assistant) answers questions about our services. For this, your messages are sent to OpenAI (see section 9.3). We do not store the conversation. Please do not enter sensitive personal data in the chat.
9.5 Hosting and abuse protection
Our website is operated by Vercel Inc., USA. When you access the website, Vercel processes the access data listed in section 3.1. To prevent abuse of the AI features and forms, we limit the number of requests per IP address. For this, your IP address is stored in a counter with the service Upstash (USA) for no more than 24 hours and then deleted automatically.
9.6 Email delivery
Forms on our website, including requests from the RF Bau Studio, are delivered to us through the email service Resend (USA). You also receive your confirmation through the same service. Resend processes the data solely for delivery.
9.7 Google Analytics and Google Ads
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to evaluate the use of our website statistically, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries. This covers, for example, the pages viewed, where the visit came from, the type of device and whether a form was sent or a phone number was tapped, but not the content of your enquiry. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be processed in the USA on the basis of standard contractual clauses. Without your consent, Google sets no cookies and uses no data for advertising. Only anonymous signals without cookies are then transmitted. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
10. Right to Complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law. In Switzerland, the competent supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. The current version is available on our website. We recommend that you consult this privacy policy regularly.
